Dear aspirant,

Being a domicile of Kerala is not a requirement to be eligible to appear for KEAM.

Also having mother tongue as Malayalam isn't going to help either as the requirement to be a keralite is that the candidate must be a resident of Kerala or a domicile of Kerala.

The second type has 2 sub divisions.

First being non keralite part 1 - these candidate will be in state merit with keralite however not eligible for reservation. If you've spent 5 years in Kerala studying then you can be in it, all other criterias don't seem to apply for you. Incase your parents are or were serving the Kerala government for 2 periods, then you are qualified to be in this category.

Final type is non keralite part 2 which I think would be your category. Who are only eligible to government seats and management seats in private and government colleges.

Also a 10% seats under management quota will be available for pharmacy colleges.

And you won't be eligible for mbbs/bds seats in government colleges.

Finally how will you apply?

By visiting the site for KEAM and registering and paying any fees if specified online and then going to the exam venue assigned to you. Completing the exam , getting a general or State rank depending on your candidate type and registering for the admission process using your marks. Admissions into mbbs will be done via neet marks.

Hi, Priya!

Just as other candidates. It's not necessary to be a domicile of Kerala to appear for KEAM. The only difference you'll face while being in the merit list is that you'll be counted under General Merit.

Thank you.
