Procedure of GUJCET 2020 Counselling & Seat Allotment

Step 1 - Purchase of Information Booklet and PIN: In the first step, the candidates will have to buy the information booklet and PIN from the designated branches of ICICI bank. It is essential for the candidates to purchase these items since the PIN will be required during registration for the counselling session.

Step 2 - Registration and Filling of Counselling Form: After the information booklet and PIN is purchased, the candidates will have to go to the official website and register for the counselling and seat allotment of GUJCET 2020. While filling out the form, the candidates will have to provide their personal, academic and contact address. GUJCET 2020 roll number has to be provided as the User ID and a new password also has to be generated by the candidates. It has to be noted that the password should have minimum 6 and maximum 12 alphanumeric characters (0 - 9, the letters A - Z (both uppercase and lowercase) and some common symbols such as @ # * and &). The candidates are advised to check the form before signing the declaration and accepting the declaration. A print out has to be taken out for future use.

Step 3 - Reporting at Help Centres: Next, the candidates will have to report to their closest help centre and submit the printed counselling form along with other documents (both original and photocopies). After the verification process is completed, a registration slip with signature and seal will be issued by the authorities and the registration details of the candidates will be retained.

Step 4 - Choice Filling and Locking: During this step, the registered candidates will have to fill their choice of courses and colleges according to their preference. Candidates will have to log in using their User ID, password and 14 digit PIN. Since during allotment, the filled choices will also be considered by the authorities, the candidates are advised to fill their choices in order of preference. Each round of counselling will allow the candidates to fill and alter their choices. The following options will be provided to the candidates during the choice filling process:

Save Choices: To save the filled choices.

Save and Exit: After all of the choices are filled, the candidates will have to click on this option. The list of preferred choices will be reflected on the screen.

Modify Choices: If the candidates wish to modify their selected choices then they will have to select this option.

Lock Choices: This option has to be selected by the candidates if they are sure about their filled choices. The 14 digit PIN has to be entered to lock the choices. To modify the locked choices, the candidates will have to click on “Unlock Choices”.

Step 5 - Allotment of Seats: The authorities will release the result of GUJCET 2020 seat allotment in online mode. Candidates will be able to check the seat allotment result by logging in using their User ID, password and 14 digit PIN. The allotment letter will be available for those candidates who are selected for admission. Candidates who are satisfied with their allotment will have to freeze their seats by paying the required fee. The payment can be done in online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (at the nearest Kotak Mahindra Bank). The admission slip will be generated only after the payment is made. Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seats will be able to participate in the further rounds of counselling and seat allotment.

Step 6 - Reporting at Allotted Institutes: Candidates who wish to complete the admission process will have to report to their allotted institute after the required fee is paid. While reporting to the allotted institute, the candidates will also have to produce their documents such as admission slip, payment receipt/challan, information letter and more.
