Hello student. Verbal ability is one of the important sections in cat.
Usually for other sections, practice or thinking out of the box improve things.. but in verbal section, a good practice with certain other things inculcating as a part of day will help improve ability alot. Here are these
1. Learn the meaning of certain number of new words every day, make sure, when you learn new set the next day you don't forget the ones you learnt the previous day
2. Start reading english books, novels, magazines. Where your verbal skills can be improved alot through reading
3. Start watching english channels. News channels would be the best.

Apart from these, anyway you would be taking mock tests as a part of preperation, so more than enough

For verbal the best book is WORD POWER MADE EASY BY norman lewis. Do that book twice. Reading is the key to do good in CATs verbal section. Reading not just stuff you like but a mix of topics. Improve your reading speed 300 per min would be great.
