for jnu entrance test preparation you have to be very thorough with your major subject. the concept should be very clear to you. try to get a hand of previous year question paper, study thorough all the concept, try taking up online mock exams for practice. the thing is the exam is very hard and competitive you will have to understand everything well, have your own point of view if the subject requires with examples. I hope it helped.

best wishes

Hello,

Can you specify me exactly which JNU are taking about.

Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi or Jaipur National University.

Because both of them a different approach towards the pg level.

If you could clarify this, then I can help you and guide you in right direction.

Thank You

Okay.
Let's discuss the pattern first and then the way to cover it up.
For the first time entrance test for 2019 will be conducted through online mode with objective questions. With negative marking applicable to it.
For History :
Firstly, go through the last year papers to get an idea of type questions can be asked though pattern has been changed but still it help you draft your strategy for the exam.
History is divided into 3 broad categories ancient, medieval and modern history.
If you have already read ncert already then it would be a plus point for you but if not, then go through NCERT 6-12th if time permits you or otherwise go through 12th class NCERT.
Other books with author are:
Ancient history by Romila Thapar/ D.N Jha
Medieval history by Satish Chandra
For Modern history you can refer Bipin Chandra- History of modern India
And make your own notes which will help you alot in the end.
While drafting the strategy keep syllabus in front then draw out line for your preparation. And don't forget to go through previous years paper. Also, there are multiple books available under various publication like arihant and all which might have related content to the entrance exam. So, you can also go through it.

I hope this helps you.
For any query to you can comment.

All the best!!
