A Person who is not covered under the scheme of reservation for SCs, STs and OBC and whose family has gross annual income below Rs 8 lakhs are fall in the category.
The Documents required for EWS are - Identity proof , Domicile Certificate ,Aadhaar card , Self Declaration ,Photo of passport size ,Certificate of property / rent agreement (if living in a rented house) , Last 3 years bank statement.
During Submission of documents you also have to submit the Rent agreement with Electricity bill of House owner and a self declaration if you are living in a rented house.

You have to follow the steps below to obtain EWS(Economically Weaker Section) certificate and also give proof that you live in rent house.
The steps to obtain EWS(EconomicaEconomically Weaker Section) certificate are :
You firstly have to visit any of the following officers in your locality to get EWS Certificate.The EWS Certificate is issued by any one of the following authorities in the prescribed format shall only be accepted as proof of your claim as belonging to EWS.
Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildars.
District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/Additional Deputy Commissioner/ 1st Class Stipendary Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate.
Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate.
The Officer who issues the certificate would do the same after carefully verifying all relevant documents as following process is prescribed by the respective State/UT.
Concerned officer will do an inquiry of your income and asset before providing the EWS certificate.
After that they verified all your documents with in some days or period of time you got your EWS certificate.
