Well to your question I would say yes it is worth it. Because not only for placements for interns also
number of companies visiting campus for CS = number of CS students

And regarding salary, you don't say ;)

CS from IIT Bombay is like a dream come true even for those who cracked JEE easily.Rather find first where you stand and then prepare for the college you can get admission to.Selection Process is not so fair in India.One small mistake on your part can lead you to take Civil that too may be not from IIT Bombay.
