I am from Vit chennai .I am doing EEE.

To be very honest,ECE in chennai is not that good.The faculty in Ece is not upto the mark.Most of the faculties's ,subject knowledge is not upto the mark.They are pretty strict

However you will have to do self learning which is a good thing.With my knowledge teachers are not that approachable but you do find some faculties who will come to your help.Keep doing projects with perfection,you will find your way up.

If you do well,I can assure you that your chances of getting a good placement is very high.the placement cell in our college is very good and they work really hard to get you good offers.There are a lot of core companies that for placements,like Texas instruments, Qualcomm, Robert Bosch , Schnider Electric, Siemens, Nokia, Quest Global, Ericsson (R&D), Cisco, Nutanix, Alstom, Intel, Mediatek, Vodafone, Huawei, Renault Nissan, Johnson controls, AllGo embedded, Applied Materials, Tata communication, HCL, L &T and Arista networks.

So if you work hard,you have a lot of scope.

Vit chennai campus has just come around 2010,so it is newly built and it is making its way to the top.But the campus is pretty good as transportation is way better and it is easier to commute to your hometown considering that the airport is just 40 mins away from the campus.

So the decision is for you to make.All the best bussy ,Choose wisely. :) My advice is that you take up ECE at VIT chennai.
