To calculate the JEE Main marks we have the following formula
Total score obtaining = (total no of right answer's *4) - (total no of write answers*1)
And for calculating the JEE Main rank we have the is following formula
((100-P/100)*N+1) .For example JEE Main 2020 rank = (100 - your total score) *874469/100
By using these formulas we can calculate both marks and rank.

JEE mains is conducted for admission for nits ,iiits, gftis and also qualifying for jee adv thereby getting in iit..Jee mains is comprised of an online paper with 90 MCQs which get totalled out 300 marks giving equal weightage to all three subjects namely maths, physics and chemistry. For one subject there are 30 questions out of it 20 are MCQs and the rest in Section B 10 are numerical answer. The student only need to answer 5 question in section B.
for Mcqs +4/-1 and for section b +4/0 are the marking scheme.The score given at the last is based on the slot attended and will be shown as percentile score. Relative grading is used to print score card. The ties are broken by subject priorities like maths>physics>chemistry.
