how many students do a PhD from IGNOU sociology

There is no specific intake criteria is mentioned in IGNOU official website for Ph.D admission in Sociology.
But , yes .. some basic eligibility criteria you need to satisfy for taking admission in this course such as:
- MPhil Degree and a Post-Graduate degree in a relevant discipline with min 55% aggregate marks Or
- Masters degree program in any relevant discipline with min 55% marks or relevant degree from a higher institutional level with min 5 years professional experience

Postgraduate in relevant area of discipline with minimum 55% in Geology / Applied Geology / Earth Science / Marine Geology / Hydrogeology of any recognized university with M.Phil or 5 years’ relevant research / teaching / professional experience
Minimum: 2 Years
Maximum: 5 Years
