Hello student,

The total cost for pursuing a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree can vary depending on whether you are enrolling in a government or private college . Here’s a breakdown of the general fee range:

1. Government Colleges:

  • Annual Fees: Rs.20,000 – 1.5 lakh
  • Total Course Fees (for 5.5 years): Rs.1 lakh – 7.5 lakh

Government colleges are generally more affordable, especially for reserved category students who may receive fee concessions or scholarships.

2. Private Colleges:

  • Annual Fees: Rs.2 lakh – 6 lakh
  • Total Course Fees (for 5.5 years): Rs.10 lakh – 30 lakh

Private institutions tend to have higher fees, but they may offer better infrastructure and facilities. The fees can vary widely based on the reputation of the college, location, and facilities provided.

Additional Costs:

  • Hostel Fees: Rs.50,000 – 1.5 lakh per year (if applicable)
  • Books and Materials: Rs.10,000 – 30,000 over the course of study
  • Miscellaneous Costs: Including exam fees, clinical training, etc., may range between Rs.20,000 – 50,000.

    Scholarships and Loans:

  • Scholarships are available for meritorious and reserved category students in both government and private colleges.

  • Educational loans can also be availed from banks to cover the tuition fees and other expenses.

    Conclusion:

  • Government colleges offer more affordable options.
  • Private colleges may charge significantly higher fees but can provide enhanced facilities.

Make sure to verify the fees of specific colleges before making a decision.
