The pattern of NEET-UG has not been constant since 2013, trends keep changing every year. Cut off marks have only fluctuated with time. In 2013, the cut off rank for open category under All India 15 % quota was 6002 and cutoff marks was 468.

In 2014, the cut off rank was 5646, cut off marks was 490.

In 2015, the cut off rank was 5018, cut off marks was 506.

And this year, in 2017 the cut off marks was 565, so if you notice, the cut off marks have only been shooting up. You can by now make a rough estimate that, despite the toughness of the paper, the number of students appearing for this examination is only increasing and the competition is getting intense every year.

So, if you seek admission into any of the government medical colleges under all India 15% quota, aim at scoring above 560 to be on the safe side. The rest depends on the level of toughness of the paper and how well you are able to tackle the questions during examination.

Hi Bhausaheb, In government college also...there is NEET all India quota (AIQ) 15% and NEET state quota 85%....In state quota also there is general, sc, st, obc, and some other qouta....so marks cut off will vary accordingly.....Good to know you are aspiring for MBBS seat in government medical college...Marks will vary according to the difficulty level of paper also...if its relatively easy...more students will get good marks..and vice versa...as per 2017 trend 570 plus there is good chance of getting a government seat under general quota..around 600 will always be better to be in a safe position....Hopefully you got the point...You can check your preparation level here in prepmeter....Best of luck

The trend to get admitted in college have changed in the past session. Now the question is to just get a college anywhere but a government college or to get a good college. So the answer for the first one is that to just get any government college anywhere in india you should have atleast 550 or above but if you want good colleges then u have to score above 640..

The cut off rank for 2017 for government medical college seat is
- AIQR 8317 in the Unreserved Category
- AIQR 52996 in the SC Category
- AIQR 76167 in the ST Category

More than worrying about marks and ranks, I suggest that you focus on the preparation for the exam.

Here are a few tips for NEET preparation:
- Ensure that you are thorough with the NCERT prescribed textbooks, so that you have a strong foundation to tackle the questions.
- Solve papers in a mock exam format towards the end of your preparation. Analyse them as well; outlining the strengths and weaknesses.
- Plan your studies. Make a schedule of the topics you want to complete for the particular day, so that you don't waste time on deciding what to do. Don't keep the schedule rigid.
- Ensure that you are enjoying from time to time. Maintain good health as well.

Hope this answers your question

It depends on your state of domicile also, for UP, Delhi, 580+ score is required. For other states, 550+ will do.
For college through All India Quota, 590+ is the minimum score required, for a proper college.

The cutoff varies from year to year and it's different for every category too .

This year it was  about 570 for unreserved .

530 for obc and 480 for SC category .

These are the cutoffs by all India councilling .

It may be different for ur state which I can't tell until I know from which state u belong
