CRL - 90-95
EWS -70-73
OBC - 70-74
SC - 50-56
ST - 39-40

National institute of technology are one of the top universities providong engineering course all over India. They accept jee mains as their entrance examination and there is a huge competition. There are in all 31 NITs all over India
In order to get into NIT you need to have a rank not less than 10000 in jee mains if you are in general category.

Since you have not mentioned the name of NIT so it's quite difficult to guide you with an accurate information but however if we consider your category as General then according to the latest cut-off or closing rank analysis, if your CRL rank is under 25,000 then you can get top NITs but if your CRL rank is under 50,000 then also you can get NITs but lower or average NITs such as NIT Hamirpur, NIT Goa, NIT Silchar and so on. DU conducts it's own entrance test for admission. If you are talking for DTU then you should have at least CRL rank under 20,000.

Some insights of JEE-Main 2021 :-
- To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate percentage criteriabut yes if you want to take admission into NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% in your class 12th if you belongs to General/Unreserved category and 65% if you belongs to any of the reserved category.
- Also from this year according to New Education Policy the JEE-Main examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and other regional languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Odia and Malayalam.
- In JEE-Main 2021 there will be two sections for each subject, Section-A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section-B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value.
- In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.
- All question will be of 4 marks and in MCQs there will be negative marking of (-1) on incorrect attempt.
