How should I start practicing aptitude am btech second year and simultaneously for gate ?

2nd year is the best time to start preparing for GATE if you do not want a lot of pressure all together in the last year. There are several books you can refer to upgrade your skills during the course of 3 years and minimum 1.5 hours of study per day will do the job. Apart from that you can refer many websites or apps which will help you improve aptitude part.

You can start practicing aptitude by preparing for GATE from now first revise and make notes of the first 2 years and side by side start practicing aptitude for Gate exam the more early you start preparing for gate the much better it is. You can purchase previous years GATE exam papers and practice you knowledge.

First download the syllabus of GATE and make a plan to revise the syllabus and act accordingly.

This is a very genuine problem of many students but aptitude is something which you will need everywhere like in placements, jobs preparation like gate, ese etc. So I think you should prepare for aptitude along with gate as it also helps you in increasing your sharpness and as you are an engineering student then ofcourse engineers enjoy solving aptitude, but don't spend too much time on aptitude only it will be of very small portion.
