How to cope up with anxiety and stress as exams are postponing day by day ?
Hello student ,
The HRD ministry is all set to launch Mano Darpan to help students cope with the stress of lockdown. MHRD will launch a set of guidelines prepared by the experts in Child Psychology. To ensure that each student stays away from stress and anxiety follow these steps -
Be up to date - This is very crucial for everyone. Be aware of the latest guidelines. Read articles issued by the government. But at any cost, avoid watching TV news channels. They are for your parents, not for you. Most of the TV news channels, keep a count of deaths. Knowing the number of deaths will do you no good. Prefer in shorts or simply your college bulletin.
Pursue a hobby - All of us have some talent that has been kept locked away. This is the right time to work on it. Painting, writing, singing, dancing, the list is endless. No one is going to rate you for how you are doing in these fields. They are just there to make you happy.
Talk to your friends .
Eat and sleep well .
Keep just 3,4 hours for your studies -Now there is nothing I can say for students going against JEE Mains or NEET. But the rest, take a break, guys. You got time to prepare for your exams. Go slow, yet steady.
Hope it will help you !
dear candidate,
No panic mode: Yes, entrance tests are important and preparations should be at its best. But when there’s an indefinite wait for it, you are bound to feel stressed. Here panicking about the results would just add up to it. So, let go of the panic, boost yourself and keep revising your syllabus, results will follow.
Utilize the time positively: This uncalled-for waiting could indeed be frustrating and stressful, especially when you simply don’t know when this would get over. But, how about taking this positively and considering it as an extra preparation time gifted to you? Make full use of this indefinite period and utilize this to strengthen your preparations, study more and explore well. This would help you later on.
Add a fun element: There surely is a plus side of the entire family being quarantined. Get over boredom together by including them in your preparation schedule. Share what you just studied, ask them to help you in memorizing pointers from chapters, make siblings act as your examiners while taking mock tests. This little bit of fun will not only help you reduce the anxiety but will increase bonding within the family too.
Re-structure your strategy: Surely you have made a strategy for the preparations. Now with the extra time available at hand, re-visit and restructure the strategy if needed. Schedule a specific time for each subject and revisions, divide the added time equally between subjects to study, keeping aside time for an extra round of revision.
Make a to-do-list: Practice making a to-do list for every day and try maintaining it. The indefinite wait can be utilised well if you have a specific routine or task list to follow each day.
Explore the career path: By now, if you have already figured out your career path, this extra time at hand can work wonders for you. Explore as much as you can, google on all sorts of information regarding the courses, colleges, and institutes, every possible career option and be confident about your career choice.
Rest and Relax: Getting an indefinite period of waiting doesn’t mean you’ll have to slog the hardest. Keep ample time to relax, nurturing hobbies and doing your favourite things, bond with family and sleep well. An appropriate amount of rest and relaxation will rejuvenate your mind, memory and concentration.
best of luck for future!
