It's basically depends upon whether the way you think.

If you're in first year,  you have so much time but you have less knowledgeon the topics.  What I want to say is when the topics are started in 11th class go with the JEE main syllabus too. So that it would be good to have knowledge and with the knowledge on 11 you can easily practise the questions in 12 too.

And if you can manage the fee link joining into any training institutes.  They will make you learn and also it depends upon you too. Like you need to practice.

If you have only some months like now you are in 2nd year.  Then definitely you need to practice all the model questions and whenever you're having free time try to take some mock tests .

Try to follow best books like rdshrma,  op.  Tondon, HC VERMA books.
