Hello padmini,

MIT has a very long history of educating international students and continues to welcome them. You can apply to MIT at the beginning of you class 12th. Only accepted students are then required to send in their final grades.

International students have two options for testing. All November testing is allowed for early action consideration and December testing is allowed for regular action consideration.

Option 1 - SAT or the ACT, also two SAT subject tests one in math and one in science.

Option 2 - The TOEFL as well as two SAT subject tests one in math and one in science. They do not accept IELTS. This option is suitable for students who do not speak English.

For more details about their admission procedure please follow the below link.

Hope this helps.

All the best!
