Information about the exam:
There are three exams each of 2 hours.
All the three exams are conducted on the same day.
You have to prepare three subjects i.e. English, General Knowledge and Mathematics.
There are 120 questions of English, 120 questions of G.K. and 100 questions of Mathematics.
If your service choice is OTA then you don’t have to give the Mathematics exams.

The Strategy during the exam:
English is the most scoring subject. Avoid all the error finding questions because they are biggest contributor to negative marking.
English exam is easy in comparison to GK and Mathematics.
For IMA you need around 120 marks.
Well it is not very difficult to prepare for CDS exam while graduation. The important part is SSB interview and CDS is very easy.
The exam consists of three part English ,general knowledge and mathematics. If someone is from engineering background for maths background then definitely mathematics would be very is very scoring for you.the level of English caused is class 10th so if you are good at English speaking and writing then definitely will be an easy part.not coming to the general knowledge if you follow the latest news and have good knowledge of history geography about India also constitution and political process then you can you score qualifying marks at least but for scoring good marks you need to be very well on the recent affairs as well as static history and other parts. CDS is not the hardest step for joining defence services rather it's all about SSB
