What is the effect of RE in graduation when we apply for govt. Jobs like UPSC Civil service CDS AFCAT IBPS or any other exam.
Hi Vivek! This is a common misconception in undergraduates that their reappears are going to affect their careers to a very great extent but trust me this is not the case. If you clear your reappears well in time they will not affect your selction chances in any government or civil services job. Make sure that you are clear with all your supplementary exams by the second last year of your graduation and tryy to take these reappear exams as a chance to improve your score and overall pointer.
Good Luck! Work hard.
Hello Vivek,
Let us first consider CDS. FOr CDS irrespective of the percentage you get, you should not have any live backlogs at the time you appear for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. In case you had a backlog in a previous semester/year which you cleared later on, it doesn't hinder your chances to appear for the SSB.
In case of AFCAT, irrespective of whether you are opting for Flying or Ground Duty, you should have minimum 60% marks (aggregate) at the time of graduation with no active or live backlogs same like the CDSE.
For any government job, graduation is the only pre requisite and the REs are not considered while assesing you for the same.
So in short, REs if cleared on time do not stop an individual from appearing for government examinations or CDSE and AFCAT.
Hope this information finds you well.
Thank You!
