Hello,
I hope you are doing good,
So it depends on your strength. If you can then you should. But there should be no regrets later. And if this is your first drop then giving one year entirely to preparations isn't a bad idea. One year is nothing when compared to your life.
But if you desperately want to enter MBBS then dropping a year is no way bad.
You can enrol in an alternate program degree and study along with the university, which will give you a backup choice. It is even better for medical entrance examinations because you can re-attempt the examination multiple times. This will decrease the burden on you to accomplish the task at hand, but on the other hand, maybe a source of disturbance, similar to school. This is where your willpower and self-restraint will play a part again. That would be time saving and you won’t be dropping a year. Nowadays most of the students are doing this way only. Important thing is that you should be able to manage time, you should be consistent and punctual while preparing. Focus less on graduation course and give more time for the preparation of Neet. Be confident enough and have hope on yourself.
Do regular revisions, give importance to each subject equally and also study from last years papers.
The choice of dropping a year or not is yours. Stay on the decision with absolute conviction. All the best!
Hi,
I hpe you are doing well.
Attending classes in college and simultaneously studying for NEET during partial drop is a tough task. It’s hard but hard is not impossible.
Study Tips and Strategy for NEET Partial Droppers :
- Make sure you devote at-least 3–4 hours to NEET studies everyday. It can be early morning or after your college classes, you have to create a schedule. The number of study hours can increase on holiday.
- Join a coaching to stay on track and for clearing your doubts. If you are not able to join an institute due to your college timings, then don’t worry, you can join a Neet Online Course during late evening hours.
- Understand the concepts instead of memorizing them (some exceptions in Biology and Chemistry).
- Read through your weaker sections and then attempt problems related to it.
- Make problem solving a habit. Spend some time everyday in solving problems. Only covering the theory will get you nowhere. NEET demands a lot a practice.
- Keep revising what you are studying every day.
- Time management and the pattern of solving questions is important to clear NEET with good rank. You have to reach to the solution in fastest possible time. Learn to apply tricks in solving problems. This comes with lots of practice.
- Solve NEET mock tests after the syllabus is over.
- Be determined. Stay positive and motivated. There will be times when you would find it difficult to understand and manage things. Do not give up.
All the best.
