The phase-1 paper Based MAT 2018 exam held on December 9, 2018 has remained at moderate difficulty level with no surprises. Some of the questions in Verbal, Data Analysis & Data Sufficiency and Critical Reasoning sections were found a bit tricky and lengthy in comparison to earlier MAT exams. It is expected that 90+ percentile cut off can be achieved at a score of 105-107 marks
->Mathematical Skills Section- contains 40 bits, to get 90% 29 bits should be attempted
->Language Comprehension - 40 bits, to get 90% 28 bits should be attempted
->Intelligence and Critical Reasoning- 40 bits, to get 90% 27 bits should be attempted
->Data Analysis and Sufficiency- 40bits, 23 bits should be attempted to get 90%
->Indian and Global Environment- 40bits, Separate sectional marks, not counted for percentile calculation
All the questions in MAT 2018 December exam carry equal marks. Every right answer is to be awarded with a credit of 1 mark while every wrong answer will attract a penalty of ¼ negative marking (0.25 mark) and will be deducted from the score awarded for right answers.
