You must follow these steps for preparing for NDA:-

Check out the syllabus for the exam.

Buy all the required books.

Study NCERT books, according to the syllabus.

Make notes, self notes are very helpful in studying for competitive exams.

Leave half page at the end of every topic and two pages at the end of each chapter.

Once done with NCERT, use help books, you can alternatively also use some online coaching material or some offline coaching material too, just stick to one thing while preparing for the first time. Complete one thing, then move to another.
Once done start solving previous year questions and question banks and mock exams.

NDA examination is conducted twice every year for admission to 3 years training at National Defence Academy Khadagwasla and on completion join Indian Defence Forces as officer.
The written exam consists of two papers-Mathematics and General Studies.
Mathematics paper is of 300 marks and ths syllabus is mathematics of class 11th and 12th. Coordinate Geometry, probability, Statistics, Algebra are most important topics.
GS paper is of 600 marks. It includes syllabus from English language, Science, History, Political Science, Geography and current affairs.
To prepare for mathematics exam you need to revise NCERTs of class 11th and 12th and you can refer to 'Pathfinder' book by Arihant.
For GS paper read science book of class 9th and 10th. Read any one English newspaper daily. And for rest of the topics follow the same book 'Pathfinder' by Arihant.
