Dear Student,
As you may be well aware of you need to have an undergraduate degree in order to appear for the UPSC examination. Though you could, being a PCM student tend to opt for B.Tech after your class 12, apart from honing your mathematics and chemistry, it does not really help with any of your stages of the examination. This is would be wiser to go for subjects like geography, anthropology, public administration or history, as they will help you with you prelims as well as one of your GS. Moreover, choosing humanities after your class twelve will also enhance your writing skills, which will help you with your essays, which is something you might lack whilst pursuing PCM allied courses. I hope that answers your query. Also, dont forgot to get started with your coaching and keep yourself updated with the current affairs.
Good luck!
