hi naveen,
54000 category rank is very high and you wont be able to get a decent college.
Though with OBC and home state quota, there might be an increased chance of you getting a seat but with such a rank it is very hard to get a good college then too.
As, opting a very low rank NIT core branch will bring nothing good for you.
doing engineering from an average or underrated college is of no use.
So, I would suggest you to prefer state engineering colleges. Some state engineering colleges or private colleges are way better than even mediocre ranked NIT.
you can also see Thapur or VIT. It is one of the older colleges in education industry with better Alumni than many of the NIT's.
all the best
I regret to inform you that with such a low score its difficult for you to get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like nits or iiits.
As nits or iiits are one of the most sought after college in feild of engineering so they have high closing cutoff for the candidates to get admission.
Even your obc category cannot help you to get admission into any nits .
Either you take part in any other councelling process or take admission in any reputed private institutes.
Hope it helps!!!
No it will be not easy to get admission in these good college ( nits ; IIITs and other good colleges ) with this rank.
I would suggest you to take some another option like state government colleges or some good private colleges.
Good luck.
