I am from electrical branch EE my gate marks are 36 ,which college I will get general category ?What should I do next to take drop or wait?

well i can help u a bit in this..
Since u are from one of the most popular and core branch of the engineering field u must be aware about the crowd in this field which itself creates a great competition. The marks u have scored is just a bit above the cut off score and u are from general category too so u can apply only for some of the NITS for ur further studies and that too is not sure whether u will get admissioned or not.
About taking drop or waiting it totally depends upon u as if u are having a strong mindset for the exam next time u must go for it but if not then u must wait and apply for the best colleges i ur criterion.
