To do B.Tech in India you have to be a non-med student then you can give the JEE MAINS exam that allows you to participate in majority of India's engineering colleges.
You can also go for various state entrance exams or college entrance exams for B.Tech courses like

here are the steps to apply for btech after completing your 12th board examination
1. you must have passed your 12th grade along with the subjects physics,chemistry and mathematics and english as the core subjects.
2. then do fill up the forms of the entrance exams of different regions and colleges as per your budget or pocket size
3. wait for the results and the counselling .
4. if you are having good marks in your 12th grade as well in the entrance exam you appear for then definitely you will get a good college and if not then do not panic out you will get seat through management quota too.
