Dear Aspirant,
AFCAT or Air Force Common Admission Test happens twice a year and is conducted by Indian Air Force in English. It is a 2 hour examination. he exam happens in February and September. The applications of the February exam are ongoing and you can find the application form on the official website: afcat.cdac.in. The applications are open till 30th of December 2019 only, so do it ASAP. The exam date has been announced as 22nd and 23rd of February, 2020.
The eligibility criteria is as follows. Hope it clears your question.
- Nationality of the candidate must be Indian
- For the candidates applying for Ground Duty or Technical, the age limit varies between 20-26 years old.
- Candidates below the age of 25 must be unmarried.
- Even widowers/widows and divorcees under the age of 25 are also not eligible.

For Ground Duty (Technical),
the educational qualification is passing 12th with 60% marks and or more in Physics and Mathematics and should also hold a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognised university or Candidates clearing sections A and B exam of
Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India)/ Aeronautical Society of India/ Graduate membership exam of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers
with at least 60% in the following discipline:

- Computer Engineering/Technology
- Computer Engineering and Application
- Computer Science and Engineering/Technology
- Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering

- Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}: Candidates with minimum 60% in Mathematics and Physics in class 12 and bachelor’s degree (4 years)/integrated post graduation in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates who have cleared section A and B exam of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India)/Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60% in any of the disciplines mentioned below:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering and Automation
- Mechanical Engineering (Production)
- Mechanical Engineering (Repair and Maintenance)
- Mechatronics
- Industrial Engineering

For Ground Duty (Non-technical):
- Administration and Logistics: The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum percentage of 60 or should clear section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India)/ Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university with 60% or more.
- Accounts: B.Com degree with at least 60%
- Education: MBA/ MCA/ MA/ MSc degree in English/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ International Relations/ International Studies/ Defence Studies/ Psychology/ Computer Science/ IT/ Management/ Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Public Relation with 50% aggregate and 60% during graduation. For integrated courses, the minimum duration should be in accordance to the UGC guidelines with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

Yes, if you are in the final year of your B.sc then you can apply for AFCAT. This exam is conducted twice in a year. You just have to make sure that you don't have any backlog during the time of SSB.

Hi,
Final year students are eligible but they should not have any backlogs. A minimum of 60% marks up to the last semester/year for which results have been declared up to the time of submission of application is required. You should be able to submit proof of passing the degree by November 15, 2020.
