Hello,

BA-LLB is five year integrated law course based on the eligibility of passed 10+2 from a recognized board on the other hand to apply for LLM you need to be a graduate in law it can be five year integrated program such as BA-LLB, BCA-LLB, BBA-LLB, BCom-LLB etc or you need to complete simple LLB which is based on the eliigibility of passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with 45% aggregate, there's relaxation of 5% in case of reserved category, however certain universities like DU, BHU emphazise on 50% aggregate at graduation level. Admission process for three year LLB varies among colleges, in some cases entrance exams are conducted such as by DU, BHU, Allahabad university, we also have state level entrance exams such as KLEE, MAH CET LAW, TS LAWCET, AP LAWCET etc, there are also direct admission that takes place based on the merit of the qualifying examination.

Hello, hope you are doing well!
You can't apply for LLM without completing your LLB degree. And because you will be completing your BA degree soon, so there's no need to do BA LLB.
So, you have to apply for 3 year duration LLB undergraduate degree course. The basic eligibility criteria of 3year LLB is that the student has to be a graduate in any stream and should have a minimum score of 45% in aggregate (according to BCI rules).
There are various colleges offering 3year LLB across the country.
Some of them are-
  • Symbiosis Law School
  • Faculty of Law, Delhi University
  • Law School, Banaras Hindu University
  • Government Law College, Mumbai
  • ILS Law College, Pune
  • Jindal Global Law College
Some of the entrance exams are SLAT, DU LLB, BHU UET, LSAT, MHCET, LAWCET, etc.

Hey Aspirant,

B.L means Bachelor of Laws. It is not recognised by Bar Council of India and it is mostly conducted through correspondence. LL.B is Bachelor of Legislative Laws and it can be study after graduation or one may opt for integrated course such as BA.LLB or B.Com.LLB. LL.M is master of Laws which can be study only by completing LL.B.
