I am in class 11th and selected PCM as main stream and as English is also main subject i don't want any additional optional or 5th subject like economics and physical education as optional subject does it necessary to select any one optional subject

Yes, it is necessary to select additional subjects but no need to worry about marks will consider for the main subjects like maths, physics, chemistry, English and the best of rest two subjects. So it is helpful only in those two subjects, the one whose score would be more would be considered.
