First try to join Good Coaching institute for Gate and if it's not possible then you can do self preparation using online platforms. Hello dear,
you can start your gate preparation any time but preffered time is first year because gate is not easy and if you are preparing from first year then you doesn't face any problem in future.you have to remember all semester's subject at last which is not possible.so, prepare it now.
