Punjab University, Chandigarh conduct there own entrance test - CET PG you can check the official website for more details as they offer admission to some PG courses on the basis of Merit score of the qualifying examination. here i am providing the link of Punjab university you can check it.

There was test for M.com (Business Economics) there was not any details about M.A Economics.

Then they would be providing admission based on merit score of BA.you can email them with your query and see what they say.
