Hello,

If you want to appear for CLAT and belong to Hindi Medium then the sooner you start your preparation the better it is going to be for you in the journey ahead, yes it will be difficult but if you're consistent with your efforts then you can surely succeed in the exam, the reason being many people coming from hindi medium have qualified the exam, and not only this they have done great in their professional career ahead, so have a faith in your abilities, and start off the preparation in gradual manner.

CLAT is conducted for two hours carrying 150 MCQs, each question is for one mark, and 0.25 mark is deducted for each incorrect attempt. It  consists of sections such as comprehension-based questions from English Language, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning ,Logical Reasoning

English Comprehension demands a strong grip over grammar for which you can refer Wren and Martin, and Norman Lewis's Word Power Made Easy for vocabulary building, and begin immediately reading newspaper on a daily basis, you can install The Hindu in your mobile and go through the editorials religiously, at first it will be tough to comprehend since the writings are by prolific writers, but with persistent efforts you will notice the difference within a month or so, you can also install any dictionary app so that if you get struck with anything, it will help you

For General Knowledge and Current Affairs also reading newspaper is the best option especially to cover the dynamic portion, and if you follow this regularly, you don't have to mug up everything prior to appearing for the exam, you can easily revise, and for static portion you can refer Lucent's GK, it may be too early to go through this section especially dynamic portion , but in spite of this at least make a habit of newspaper reading, and prior to appearing for CLAT you must be well acquainted with one year dynamic portion of current affairs.

You should try to cover these two sections while starting off with your preparation, as these will be easy to deal with.

In case of quantitative aptitude, you can go through NCERTs book as this will easily build the fundamentals strong, you can easily find the app in play store or you can download the pdf version in computer/laptop, for Logical Reasoning, you can use any reasoning book amidst Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning by RS Agarwal or  Analytical Reasoning by M K Pandey, In both these sections what matters is practice, practice and practice and this comes only after you gain conceptual clarity first.

For Legal Reasoning, you can use Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning by A P Bhardwaj or Legal Awareness and Legal Reasoning by Pearson.

Apply mock tests on regular basis to know how you're faring well in terms of preparation level, you can access CLAT sample paper at https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/
