Hey there
Well, you are going to be civil services aspirant like many who says today -becoming IAS was my dream since childhood (Including me).It is good to have such a highest inspiration as it keeps u motivated towards working hard.
Since you are in highschool i will suggest totaly focus on your school complete your 10+2 with dedicated effort.Read your subjects properly have good command over them, also you can read books on social and economic issues in order to diversify your horizone if you are interested and if you are able to managed time but not when exam is near.
Try to find where you are interested in, analyse your personality what kind of person you are and how u wants to become.Once you are in graduation there is plenty of time in between, go through the syllabus, identify area where you comfortable, get the study material of Genaral Studies read it seriously in a preparation mode as you are going to give this attempt.
Hope this helps!
thank you

If you want to apply for upsc then feel free to select any stream ,it is an unique type of exam in which you don't need to worry about course, subject, stream etc because every student from any stream can apply as well as can crack this exam with proper startegy and dedication.
Hope it helps you !!
Thank you
Firstly there is no such restrictions in terms of belonging to specific stream when it comes to applying for UPSC Exam, you just need to attain 21 years, and passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or you can apply provisionally even in the final year, now coming to your question yes there is no denial that the syllabus of UPSC tends to be more humanities oriented, but this in itself doesn't mean only humanities or arts stream graduate qualify the exam, even if you have a look at this year toppers, there are many engineers and doctors as well, and some of them also come with relative work experience in their domain, if you're interested in science stream, then go ahead, pursue your career, and perhaps you can also earn experiences in your relative domain, even if after that you feel you want to go for UPSC, you can definitely go ahead, this will give you ample amount of time to explore things in your life, and UPSC does tend to be unpredictable, so in case of back up, this is the best option, in case you don't want to go for back up plan then you can choose humanities streams, perhaps having major in subjects like political science, history, geography, economics, public administration, sociology etc help in the sense there is considerable overlap of the syllabus of these subjects with that of GS and optional subjects, but still you must remember much more than your graduation stream it's your personal attributes of single minded focus, dedication, perseverance that will help you sail through the exam, that takes one year of preparation and another one year to appear for the three stages such as preliminary, mains, and interview.
