Panjab University offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma / PG Diploma, Certificate and Professional Courses in streams like Business & Management Studies, Accounting & Commerce, Arts (Fine/ Visual/Performing), Design, Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Law, Medicine & Health Sciences, and Science.
Panjab University Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG
Candidates applying to Panjab University’s UG courses should have cleared 10+2 examination from a recognised Board. Also, it is mandatory for the candidate to have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Panjab University Admission Process
Panjab University grants admission to students to various courses through different mediums. Admission to some courses is based on merit while admission to others is based on the marks obtained in the Entrance Test conducted by the University.
The University also conducts Group Discussion/ Personal Interview/ Counseling rounds for final selection of the candidates. These rounds take place after candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the marks scored in the Entrance Exam conducted by the Panjab University or after the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of merit.

PU CET 2019 Exam Pattern for UG Programmes

The test will be conducted in the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology. Candidates will have to choose a suitable combination for themselves on the basis of the subjects they studied in 10 + 2 pattern. Possible combinations are PCB/PCM.

Each subject will be of 120 marks and consist of 60 questions.

Each question will be of 2 marks. There will be negative marking as well. Each incorrect answer will lead to a deduction of 0.5 marks.

Each paper will be of 70 minutes.

The paper will be MCQ based and conducted in the English language.

The syllabus for the entrance will be of 10 + 1 and 10 + 2 level.
