We get placements only in the software companies. Our department students didn't get any placements on the core side. Recently our seniors got jobs in the Coramandal and NFCL, but who were only 2 in number. We usually get core jobs by getting a good rank in the GATE examination. About, 5-years ago our seniors got placed in the core jobs as in GAIL, ONGC, etc. The companies which came for the recruitment accounted for at least 60% of the placements.

The placements are pretty good. Most of the students will be placed definitely in software organisations like Infosys, TCS, Accenture and Capgemini. Even core companies recruit talented students as well. Even the placement cell helps a lot in placing the students in good jobs.So , you can expect somewhat better scenario in the upcoming future.
