Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) was established in 1946. Earlier it was called ‘The College of Engineering, Vizagpatnam’. It is located at the port city of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh and has now developed into a campus of 110 acres.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada scholarships include two AICTE scholarship schemes - Pragati Scholarship Scheme and Saksham Scholarship Scheme. Pragati scholarship is meant for girls pursuing technical education. The eligibility for this scholarship is that the family income should not exceed 8 lakhs per annum.
