As you mentioned You qualified for jee advance by clearing jee mains but didn't appear advance exam. So, you can take admission in college on the basis of your mains rank in NITS not in IITS this year.
For next year, you need to again crack jee mains for appearing in jee Advance.
Qualify mains 2022 for appearing in advance 2022.

No, you cannot directly appear in JEE advanced 2022, it doesn't matter even if you had qualified JEE main 2021 and you were eligible for JEE advanced 2021 but you didn't appear in it.

To be eligible for JEE advanced 2022, it is mandatory to qualify JEE main 2022
For your reference
JEE advanced eligibility criteria is given below :-
---------------------) you need to pass your class 12th with at least 75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination. For this year i. e 2021 this percentage requirement in class 12th was lifted off.
----------------------) You can give JEE advanced examination for the maximum of consecutive 2 years starting from the year of appearing for your 12th examination i. e to be eligible for JEE advanced 2022 your 12th board examination appearing year should be either 2022 or 2021
-----------------------) There is upper age limit, according to which to be eligible for jee advanced 2022, you should be born on or after 1st October 1997. There is 5 years of age relaxation for SC, ST and PwD so candidates of SC/ST /PWD needs to be born on or after October 1, 1992.

No such notification has been released either by NTA or by JEE-ADVANCE that a student who cleared mains in 2021 can directly give advance in 2022.
And I believe there would not be any such notification in near future.
Therefore you will have to give JEE mains in 2022 and then only you will be eligible for advance 2022.
