Hi Shubha,
You can get engineering on the basis of your diploma as a lateral entry candidate in any engineering college. Lateral Entry will give you admission in the second year of the BTech course. In Btech colleges in India, the course for the first year is the same for all the branches which you must have studied in your diploma. There are few colleges which will not allow you admission in L.E but you should be considering the colleges which gave admission in LE.
The requirement for LE is a minimum of 60% marks in your diploma from a recognized university/institute.
LEET is one of the most famous exams for LE in Btech colleges second-year admissions.
NOTE: No IIT/NIT/IIIT will provide LE.
NOTE: State colleges only provide this facility like COET Pantnagar , BTKIT Dwarahat , Chitkara University Chandigarh, etc.
Hope this helps.

Hello Shubha, yes obviously you have a good chance to get colleges through engineering colleges. Most of the colleges require 50% as the basic eligibility criteria for admission, some colleges like NIT, IIIT and IIT require 75% in 12th but there are other good colleges too where you can take admission by qualifying in entrance exams.
