I got 144/200, will I qualify for the stage 2?

Assuming you are asking for the NTSE exam. The qualifying cut off is 40% for general category and 32% for SC/ST category applicants. But the final selection depends on the cutoff score released state wise by respective authorities. It might vary due to various factors like the number of applicants, the difficulty level of exams, number of scholarships etc. As you have not mentioned the name of your state you can check the link given below to check the cutoff of your state. You can have a broad idea from the previous year cutoff as the exam pattern changed this year so the cutoff will also vary.
