The cut off for most of the government medical colleges in Karnataka for admission under the State quota for the SC category was score of 270-280 marks and above. Considering this you seem to have a fair chance of admission in a government college. But also keep in mind that the cut off changes each year due to several factors like level of difficulty, competition etc. Still a score above this would be safe for admission here.

With a score of 270 in SC category, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the government medical colleges when comparing the results of previous years. Last year , a minimum score of 264 was required to fetch one a seat in Government medical college, Thoothukudi in SC category under the state quota. But, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats.
