I got 458 marks in neet I belong to Andhra and have EWS reservation.Dose i have a chance to get seat atleast in private medical collage.

Dear Lasya, AP Medical Seats are categorised into AU, SVU and OU areas. You havent mentioned the area you are a locale to. Neverthless, because this is the pilot year for EWS reservation, we do not have an idea of the cut offs. But because this is within the General Category, we shall give ypu the range between General Cayegory and OBC of 2018 cut offs and we can have a probable range of cut offs.



AU: 533-484

SVU: 517-474

OU: 526-458



With 458 marks, you are falling short of even BC Category cut offs of these areas. Which means 458 is a less score for a seat in a Government Medical College. You might have a chance at a Private Medical College. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. And yes, you can definately get a seat for MBBS in any private college.

But I will recommend you to please go through the counselling session. Although your chances are mild to get admission in government college for MBBS, but you might get BDS in government college.
