I got 56 CGPA in class 10th and 47% in class 12 th .and now I am in 3rd year of graduation. Should I go for cat ?

Although your class 10 and 12 marks may be a problem for you but you can definitely go for CAT, aim high percentile in CAT and also try to do very good in ur graduation then you can definitely get into an IIM
According to the eligibility criteria, one should hold a bachelors degree with at least 50% marks ( 45% for ST/SC/DA )

Criteria for Cat exam is like this
- If you belong to general category you must holds a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- If you belongs to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories, need at least 45% marks in Bachelor's Degree.
Final year candidate can also apply.

I think you got 5.6 CGPA in your class 10th and 47% in your class 12th..
If your aim is to do MBA then you can go for CAT examination , if you want to do your MBA from IIM then I will suggest you to to leave this thought.
Because as you know for the admission in IIM your 10th , 12th and cat score considered with a defined defined weightage..
