I got 88.54 percentile in gen category and I missed to change ews but i belong to ews and i have proofs so am I eligible for advance or not?
Hello Harshit,
I would like to tell you that unlike previous years, this year the cut off would be based on the NTA score which is a percentile measure of the students’ performance.
JEE Main 2019 Cut-off of Total NTA Score Based on Paper-I for JEE Advanced 2019
- Common Rank List-89.7548849
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS)-78.2174869
- Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL)-74.3166557
- Scheduled Caste (SC)-54.0128155
- Scheduled Tribe (ST)-54.0128155
- People with Disability (PWD)-0.1137173
Hope this helps and all the best!
In the application form of JEE mains, if you have not mentioned the EWS category, then despite having the proof that you belong to EWS category, you would not be able to get the benefits of it.
Since you have not mentioned the EWS category, you would be treated as a general category, and since you have not crossed the cutoff of JEE mains for general category, you are not eligible for JEE advanced.
Hope it helps.
