I GOT AIR 558 IN SASTRA STREAM 1....CAN I GET A SEAT IN CSE?

I am sure you can get seat in second councelling. But in first councelling it may be difficult to get seat in CSE . If many students below rank 500 choose other than CSE .You have more chances to get CSE. But the rank you got is good. I am sure you can join sastra in ECE,EEE,IT . Sastra University is an UGC approved, NAAC accredited and AICTE approved college located in Thanjavur, Tamilnadu.

It conducts stream 1 admission process to fill 70% of its seat. JEE Main percentile and Class 12 score are used to prepare merit list. 75% of weightage will be given to Class 12 marks and 25% weightage is given to JEE Main score. These two are then combined together to get a single score. Based on this normalised score it prepares merit list and ranks of candidates.

Now there is no cutoff here.  It entirely depends on your rank in sastra's merit list. Depending on competition it keep changing every year. Candidates seeking admission have to get position in the Sastra's merit list.

In stream 1 in order to get CSE the position or rank of a candidate must not exceed 400 approximately in the merit list. In stream 2 the position or rank of candidates must not exceed 150.
