The closing ranks for Computer Science and Engineering at VIT Vellore campus were 7000 and 15000 respectively in 2016 and 2015. Since the ranks and trends fluctuate quite a bit, it is really difficult to say which branch you will be offered surely. It all depends on many more factors.
