JoSSA is Joint Seat Allocation Authority which regulates seat allocation to various institutes across the country which includes IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs.
First and foremost you have to ensure that you meet all the eligibility criteria.
The next procedure is on follows:

1- Visit the official website of JoSSA i.e. https://josaa.nic.in/
2- You have to register yourself on the portal and log in using JEE Mains registration Number
3- Once registration is successful the details will be automatically fetched from JEE Mains registration data
4- After that you have to fill choices of colleges and branches of your desired and seat allocation is done on the priority basis which is set by candidate, so make sure to fill it carefully and you can fill as many choice as you want, there is no limit for it.
5- then after you have to lock your choices or else they will get automatically locked after the last data.
The seat allocation is basis on the closing rank which is set by colleges itself.
