Dear Aspirants/Guardians

For admission to Nits and IITs the candidate should satisfy at least one of these two criteria:-

He/she is within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in his/her respective Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination.

He/she has secured 75% (for GEN or OBC-NCL) or 70% (SC, ST or PwD) of aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination.

All the very best and good luck.

Hi there!!!

If you had got 61%in class 12 , than you are not eligible for getting admission NIT..

AS Per the new rules , you must have got minimum of 75% in 12th Boards or you should must be in top 20 percentile scorers of your Board than only you are eligible for taking admission in NIT'S.

I would like to suggest you to write Jee Exams as many other  good private & state government engineering college also accepts Jee Marks  for direct admission and there are no boundation of Boards Marks too...

Hope you got your answer,Best of Luck for your Future!!!

Regards,

Rajdeep Sinha

As Ankur Sehgal mentioned, you should have that much criteria. Moreover Joint entrance exam also matters while taking admission in NITs and IITs.

Hey,

For admissions to NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs, candidates should have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th exam or be in the top 20 percentile in the class 12th exam conducted by the respective board. For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria is 65% marks in class XII

Hello. I'm sorry to say, NITs and IITs require a minimum percentage of 75 in your 12th grade.

Try some private colleges in and around your home town, you will find plenty of them.

No! you aren't eligible for admission in NIT's as the criteria for selection in NIT's and IIT's is that you should have above 75% in your 12th boards or you should lie in the first 20 percentile. Just focus on scoring good marks in your JEE Mains exam, as there are many other good colleges as well.

-cheers :)
