A score of 161 is a low score. The cut off marks for open category under AIQ counselling are around 550 and above, for reservation category it is 400 and above.
The cut off for State quota is around 500 and above for open category and 350-400 and above for reservation category. The cut off marks change every year depending upon the number of applicants, number of seats available, percentile score, tie breaker criteria, etc. Still the cut off marks do not change or vary to a very wide extent. A score of 161 therefore, will have a very low chance of admission in any government college for MBBS/BDS courses
