Yes u are right about the sponsored mtech which are done by many IIT and NIT.
Sponsored candidates need not go through the GATE Process, they just have to clear the institute interview and test.
They have to be sponsored by a company.
They will not be paid the stipend, and will not have fee rebate (about 20K per semester extra)
They will not have to do TA Work
They can sit for placements only on production of an NOC from the concerned company.
Candidates having two years of relevant work experience are exempted from requirement of GATE score, provided their candidature is sponsored by the employer. They are not eligible for award of Teaching/Research Assistantship.

Yes...thanks a lot...it means instead of assistanceship and any financial support everything will be same like those who are selected through gate for mtech programmes
