I have 3 years to give upsc exams is it necessary to read newspaper and current affairs from now itself...if so how it is beneficial ?
Well my friend current affairs and newspapers are the heart and soul of this examination. You can't even think of clearing this exams by neglecting these two inseparable twins.
You have enough time so start reading newspapers from now as it will help in building your base.
Follow unacademy on YouTube run by Roman.
Follow vision ias and other materials available on online channels for current affairs.
If youre a school student having the main aim of joining Civil Services, then B.A will be the best for you.
Cheers !!
Hi Siddhi,
Thanks for asking, Look newspapers are a read of magic. They contain news, sensation grammatical approaches to reading write and learning.
Follow this in a simple manner
- Read the Hindu or Indian express daily.
- Read any one magazines of any institute like vision, Vajiram or insight.
- Read Yojana every month, it will be good for mains also.
- Read news from PIB daily ( take app of PIB and see it before sleeping as till night all the CA of govt is updated )
- Make short combined notes for things you feel are confusing you for ex:- missiles, various satellite launches or new species etc or int.agreements.
- Revise current affairs for a particular month at least once at the end of that month only. It is very effective.
- At the end of the prep do have a compiled version also of the whole year that you can see just a few days before pre or main. Many are available like of vision and Vajiram.
- In the last set of revision that you will do a month before exam tries to remember more prelim related info, like facts, imp info, main features of any news rather than going deep in written theory, it will save time also.
Make notes if you can from Hindu and pib, and if you cant then ensure you revise above things on regular basis.
Success in CA depends mostly on REVISION even if you have covered every news . As you tend to forget what you read more easily in CA than in static portion.
All the best.
