GATE 2025: Syllabus | Sample Papers
Hello Arathy,
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering( GATE ) is conducted every year to provide admissions into post graduate courses in various institutions like IISc,IITs,NITs,IIITs etc.. and also to recruit candidates into various PSUs based on their GATE score.
The cutoff of GATE 2019 is the minimum marks that the candidates will have to secure to qualify the examination. The cutoff acts as a screening process for admission into the various institutes offered M.Tech admissions through GATE. However, PSU’s will be releasing their own cutoff criteria for recruitment.
IIT Madras will not be conducting a common counselling of GATE 2019. For admissions into the various institutes, the candidates will have to individually apply for allotment. Using the scores and ranks secured in the examination, the candidates will be able to apply for admissions and recruitment. However, common portals are available for those candidates who wish to apply for IIT and NIT admissions. Candidates who are interested in IITs will be able to apply through GATE COAP, and for NITs, the candidates will have to apply through CCMT.
GATE Common Offer Acceptance (COAP) is a common portal through which GATE qualified candidates will be able to apply for admissions into IITs. Firstly, the candidates will have to register with their obtained GATE scores and select their IITs of their choice. After reviewing, the admission offers from the applied IITs will be listed out in the GATE COAP portal. The candidates will be able to select their preference from the set of offers and proceed with the admission process.
